The 2023 AIM Grand Championship brought the best youth and junior trapshooters in the country to the World Shooting Complex in Sparta, Illinois. As part of the Grand American festivities, the AIM (Academics, Integrity, Marksmanship) Championship gave young competitors the opportunity to test their skills on the same grounds where ATA world champions are crowned.
Teams and individuals from AIM programs nationwide competed in singles, handicap, and doubles disciplines. The championship highlighted the remarkable growth of youth trapshooting, with participation numbers continuing to climb year over year. Many of these young shooters are already posting scores that rival experienced adult competitors, a testament to the quality coaching and structured development the AIM program provides.
The 2023 event featured tight races across all divisions, with several shootoffs required to determine champions. Individual and team awards recognized outstanding performances, and the camaraderie among competitors reflected the values of sportsmanship and discipline that define the AIM program. Sparta once again proved to be the perfect proving ground for the next generation of trapshooting champions.
