The 2022 Grand American World Trapshooting Championships concluded an outstanding week of competition at the World Shooting Complex in Sparta, Illinois. As the pinnacle event on the ATA calendar, the Grand American once again proved why it is the most anticipated week in competitive trapshooting.
Grand Week brought together thousands of competitors vying for titles in the Clay Target Championship, the Grand American Handicap, and the Doubles Championship. The World Shooting Complex, the largest trapshooting facility on the planet, operated at full capacity as shooters rotated through its expansive trap fields under summer skies.
Champions were crowned across every division, with fierce competition in the open, veteran, senior veteran, junior, sub-junior, and lady categories. The Handicap Championship delivered its signature drama as shooters battled from the 27-yard line, while the Clay Target Championship saw multiple 200 straights push the title into shootoff territory. The 2022 Grand American reinforced Sparta as the undisputed home of world-class trapshooting.
