The 37th Annual Northeastern Grand American was held September 6–11, 2022 at the New York State ATA Homegrounds in Cicero, New York. As the first Satellite Grand of the 2023 ATA target year (after the Heartland Grand moved to August), it drew 360 shooters from 20 states and provinces, comfortably earning a competition factor of 4 for All-American points.
Early Week Highlights
Warm-Up Day (Tuesday): Deborah Ohye-Neilson opened strong with the only perfect 100 in Singles, while Josh Buchiere topped the Warm-Up Doubles with a 96.
Preliminary Day (Wednesday): Sub-Junior Cody Meredith won the Handicap with a 98, while Curtis Robbins shot a 100 straight in Doubles.
Midweek Action
Thursday Singles: Six shooters broke 100; Ohye-Neilson claimed the championship.
Handicap: Brian Luther won outright with a 97.
Class Doubles: Junior shooter Joseph Breck IV shot the only 100 straight.
Championship Weekend
Class Singles (Friday): Four perfect scores, with Ben Snyder taking AA honors. Daniel Fadden won the Caesar Guerini Handicap with a 98.
Singles Championship (Saturday): William Wallis repeated as Singles Champion with 200 straight and a shoot-off victory (he also won in 2021). Antonio Lobo earned Sub Vet honors with a 200.
Handicap Championship: Ben Snyder won outright with a 96 from the 27-yard line.
Doubles Championship (Sunday): Carl Chadwell outlasted Junior Joseph Breck IV in a shoot-off after both posted 99s.

Handicap Champion: Ben Snyder (96).
Doubles Champion: Carl Chadwell (99 + shoot-off).
High All Around (HAA): Carl Chadwell – 389×400.

Final Take
The Northeastern Grand continues to be a premier start to the ATA year, offering shooters one more big competition before winter sets in. Strong scores, a competitive field, and upgrades at the NYSATA Homegrounds made 2022 another successful year in Cicero.
